Is LED phototherapy safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types?

Yes, LED phototherapy is safe and a suitable choice for all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Can I apply makeup after an LED phototherapy session?

Yes, as most formulas contain minerals that may deflect the light. Cleansed skin is recommended.

Does LED phototherapy hurt?

No, it’s a non-invasive and painless treatment.

Are there are any negative side effects to LED phototherapy?

When used correctly, LED machines are considered to be extremely low risk. (Protective goggles MUST be worn when using this machine.)

Does LED phototherapy utilise ultraviolet light?

No, LED’s do not contain ultraviolet light and therefore cannot burn the skin.

When can I expect to see results?

Typically, treatments that last 15-20 minutes 3 times per week will acheive results in 4-8 weeks. However, results will vary depending on age, skin condition and the consistency of treatments e.g. Cystic ance may take 8-12 weeks to achieve results.

What should I expect after my treatment?

There is no downtime with LED phototherapy, as it’s a non-invasive treatment.

What are the benefits of using LED phototherapy?
